UNCI is working on a program to provide technical help, access to resources, and education for Native communities in acquiring and regeneratively sustaining Native agricultural and ceremonial lands.
Purpose:
To integrate the inspiration and empowerment of Native youth and young people towards excellence in both educational and healthy physical development. UNCI staff members speak and present programs at community schools and school assemblies about proudly and deeply living Native and Indigenous lifestyles in today’s world. Educational empowerment for tribal and mixed-indigenous youth is accomplished through the UNCI partnership with the It Takes A Village custom Native-designed and confidence-building school book bags, backpacks and other educational tools of empowerment program. Native youth and young people are inspired to have dynamic fun and challenging physical exercise through the Native Skatepark Project which facilitates building safe and challenging skateparks for skateboarding and bmx bike riding in grassroots Native and Indigenous communities.
